AIRPORT INFO

For guests traveling to our wedding in Monroe, NY, the most convenient airport is Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). It’s about a 1 hour–1 hour 15 minute drive to our venue and offers the most flight options. From Newark, you can rent a car, arrange a rideshare (Uber/Lyft), or book a private car service. Other nearby airports include Westchester County Airport (HPN) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), though they have fewer direct flights and may be a longer drive.

THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA

If you’re traveling in for the weekend, we hope you’ll take some time to enjoy the area. Monroe and the surrounding Hudson Valley offer charming towns, beautiful outdoor scenery, and great spots to eat and explore. Local Activities: <a href="https://www.arrowparkny.com/VisitorGuide/Local.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Here</a> are some lovely spots and experiences not far from Arrow Park like shopping at Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets, local winery and breweries for a relaxed afternoon, hiking trails, scenic overlooks, and nature preserves. Farther Away: If you’re extending your trip, New York City is about a 1–1.5 hour drive from Monroe and offers endless options for dining, shopping, shows, and sightseeing. It’s a great choice for guests looking to turn the weekend into a longer getaway.Other nearby destinations include charming Hudson Valley towns like Beacon, Cold Spring, and Warwick, all known for their walkable main streets, local boutiques, and beautiful scenery. Neither of us ever thought in a million years we’d meet our future husband/wife on a dating app. But on our wedding day, it’ll be almost 5 years later to the day that we started dating after meeting on Hinge. I’m sure you’re wondering what the initial conversation was like. Luckily, the transcript is pretty easy to remember.&nbsp; On every Hinge profile, you answer 3 prompts. One of April’s prompts looked like this: April’s prompt: “Believe it or not…” April’s answer: “I’m single.” She’s so funny, right? (This is Joe writing all of this if you haven’t picked that up yet). So I made the first move, liked her prompt and replied back with only this: “🤯” Not too long after, we had our first date. April showed up with brown hair despite all her Hinge photos showing her with blonde hair and I showed up on the verge of passing out because of how hungry I was. The first 45 minutes were a blur for me because I was just trying not to fall out of my chair. But the 2nd half, I was convinced I really liked this girl. So much so, that when I came home to my apartment, I told my roommate, Josh, that she was “wife material.” April tells me she wasn’t so convinced after that 1st date. Sureeeee…

Date 2 comes around and we went to a restaurant called Pil Pil. April showed up with a Google spreadsheet of menu items she wanted to try. I laughed in her face and at that moment, I knew I really, really liked her.

Date 3 was the best date. We biked down the westside highway and had a picnic in the park. April says that it was after this date that she knew she really liked me too. About time…

Not too long after that, we officially started dating on May 23rd, 2021. The following week we went on a trip to the Hamptons with my friends from Ithaca College. This was April’s first time meeting any of them. A pretty big step for any new relationship. Let alone a week in. She fit in perfectly. Everybody told me they loved her. And I was even more confident that this was the start of something special.&nbsp; Ever since that first month of getting to know April, I’ve been thinking about our eventual wedding day. It always seemed like a matter of “when,” not “if.” And now that time is finally here! I hoped you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. And we can’t wait to celebrate with you all on 5/29/2026!&nbsp;

Things to Do

We kindly request formal or black tie attire. Men should plan for a suit and tie, while women are encouraged to wear formal, elegant dresses. All events will be outdoors (weather permitting) and the ceremony is on grass. We highly recommend wearing a block or wedge heel for ease of walking on the grounds.
